MySQL Mistake

I made a mistake with MySQL which has caused me to have to revert all databases, including the forums, to September 1st. Sorry for any inconvenience.

New IP

This is just a follow-up to the last post. It turns out that the IP will not be changing and will be staying at 67.19.104.218.

Impending new IP

This is just a warning, but sometime towards the end of Septemeber the server will be changing IP. I do not know what it will be changing to yet, this is just a heads up.

SourceOP Released

Many of you probably already noticed, but if you haven't, head on over to SourceOP.com and check out the first release of the HL2 plugin.

DFMMO

I've released my senior project, DFMMO, on the new DFMMO website. Register on the site, take a look, and try it out. Send me a PM on the DFMMO website to tell me your feedback. I need as many people as possible to try it out. So at least take a look.
What is it?
It's a communication and database framework for a massively multiplayer online role playing game. It sets a basic groundwork for beginning developers or curious people to create a game.

SourceOP

This is the official announcement of the new site, SourceOP.com. SourceOP is going to be a plugin for HL2. It will include most of the features currently in AdminOP and is in progress. Check the site in a week or two for the first release.

Also, using a site I just recently signed up for, I'm making about $1 a day to go towards the server. It's free to sign up and they pay you to just surf the web. If you add funds to your account (optional) they pay you even more. There are no executable programs or browser plugins involved, just your normal web browser. Try it out for free and read about it at the StudioTraffic site.

AdminOP Troubles

For those of you still having problems installing AdminOP 3.0, a zip file has been created that will do everything needed for you. Read details here.

New Releases

I've released new versions of Hook Mod, Ent Mod, Radio Mod, and AdminOP 3.0 Beta. AdminOP 3.0 Beta is, like before, an upgrade from 2.0 -- not a separate installer. You can get AdminOP 3.0 Beta here. The other mods can be found in the download section. Included in the zip files for Hook Mod and Ent Mod are help files that should explain most things in detail. The Radio Mod help file will be ready hopefully not long from now. In the new version of Hook Mod is the option for a swinging hook. This idea and the math behind it comes from the generous permission of SpaceDude who made an amx plugin like it. Also, Ent Mod's admin bug has been fixed. All the mods have been made compatible for Steam and the newest Metamod.

Note: If you won't be using Steam for AdminOP and would like to run it on a LAN server on the old Half-Life TFC make sure to put DF_steam2 0 in either server.cfg or AdminOP.cfg.

New Server

I have set up a new server for AdminOP. It runs on Steam, and because of this, it's in testing. It's not expected to run smoothly yet. There are still some known bugs. It's also set up to download files from a web server for the fastest possible connection time.
